Marcus's Mission

The time of me and my comp (Elder Ramirez), the black and the white, light and dark,  , has come to an end  but hey its all good because I am coming up on 6 months in the mission (which is crazy) and no longer have to go to bed so mentally drained due to straight Spanish all day everyday.      So first things first! Got a new comp, his name is Elder Jacobsen from Idaho. He eats a lot of potatoes and walks around with a stick in his mouth 24/7... Nah I'm just playing he is actually so cool. He is very active and we play tons of sports together. Fire cambio were gonna have  I stayed here in Huamachuco so now I need to lead the area  Still working on this Spanish thing all day everyday, and I can see the Lord's hand in my learning the language.   Hey guys another week has come and gone. Sorry didn't get around to writting a message last week so we're gonna hit a double this week!!! Monday-Tuesday of last week had intercambios (exchanges) with the APs and they for real taught us how to focus on baptism at every moment. On Monday with elder Flor from Equador and then elder Mecvoy from California, USA. Now we have 4 baptism dates   and are continuing to put down fechas!  What a blessing to have them come all the way to Huamachuco and have exchanges with us. We visited some ruins called Marcahuamachuco and it was just amazing check out the flicks. Then throughout the rest of the week we slowly dropped everybody because they are not actually interested  But what is happening is we are finding people like never before so eventually we gotta have a fecha (baptismal date) at one point!!!  So this last week we had more intercambios but with our Zone Leaders. So we just got hit with double exchanges. But ma...

 

  Hows it going peeps hope everyone took a look at the new year and started some decent new year resolutions that they are fine with ending in more than 3-4 week This year will be my one and only full year as a missionary which is kinda crazy to think about. Luckily things will only be looking up from here right... Things in Huamachuco have never been crazier!!! Nothing happened sorry to get you excited about nothing   Its been pretty boring this week with New years and all that fun stuff. We had the joyful opportunity of watching all the crazy fireworks go off around the area and let me tell you they were crazy   They have this pretty interesting tradition of making mannequins and then lighting them on fire filled with all sorts of bad memories. Really quite scary to watch not quite knowing before it happened... Another thing is it has been raining like crazy here with literal rivers through the streets. I HAVEN'T SEEN THE SUN IN 5 DAYS.
