 So just to start off I wanna share a miracle with all you guys. That ✨️miracle✨️ is that the pipes in our apartment🏤 are still working and toilets are found in every house across town🚽... Don't forget to count your many blessings. Name them one by one. Lets just say my companion was counting a lot a blessings throughout the week. Tres leche🍰 here in Perú is a different level of taste (Ok so Grandma "tres leche" literally translates to "three milk" just to help out with the idea😜)

This week has been a real long one to say the least. Got our p-day changed due to the fact that we are going to the temple today so sorry for the confusion or unintended ignorance. Its been 10 days without a P-day so cut me a little slack. 

Having a great time with the people out here, for those watching the photos, we met this guy his name is Bryan and me and my comp see him all over, doing randomly different stuff every time we see him. Basically NPC type person (non-playable character 😉gotcha gma👍) but one day me and my comp are playing with these tops and this Bryan guy come out of nowhere and starts to hit some crazy tricks worthy of Dude Perfect. Lowkey made the night, and celebrated with some finds and tres leche...  

Sometimes you just can't make this stuff up. Me and Elder Nicoll (my wonderful comp) were diligently working🍰, when we got stopped by a drunk man on the street. He stopped us in the middle of the road and he had no idea what he was saying so we were lost. Hurriedly my comp gave him a Jesus card ✝️💳 so we could get out of the road. He looked at it for a second, crumpled it, then proceeded to eat 🍽 it. From what I could remember bro didn't even chew, the moment it left his hand it was traveling down his throat. I freaking love Perú hahaha!!

On Sunday we had a Bappy🌊!!! Our first one here in the area and my first one ever! Her name is Lucía and she's basically been a member but finally the opportunity came so we took it. I even got to do the baptism and I'll tell you, forgot what to say next in Spanish for a second. In all seriousness I'm growing to love this area and the mrmbers here!

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT: There is a verse in Helaman that I absolutely love and is key to living this life. Helaman 5:12 says

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless woe, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Christ is the only sure foundation. People have asked us out here how we know of this, and I always tell them because I stand on solid ground. Who I am is thanks to him and because of his example I know where I can go and where this path I am on will take me. This life is not easy in the slightest. It wasn't easy for Jesus it won't be easy for us. But we have his promise of dry ground to anchor ourselves when the waves get to big to handle on our own. Through him the next impossible step onto the sea of Galilee like peter, is made possible. And the raging waters will be calmed for you to stand triumphantly over them. What a promise. 

Love you guys so much and thanks for all the love, prayers and letters. Truly the backbone of this work out here and it makes my day to see whats up!!

The work is moving along here, now we have a baptism date and she is just the coolest. We're hoping she can move her baptism sooner to this week . This week we have transfers and I swear if we get moved out before we baptize her I will flip out. It has taken so much work to get this place running again...  Well Tuesday started off a little bummy because that was the day that we were supposed to receive our carnets and all the other boys in my group did. BUT I DIDN'T. Let me help you picture what this place is like. It looks just like a dmv, with letters and numbers saying who goes next. Every single number is just randomized and it looks like a mess. I would argue that this place, called migrations, is worse than the DMV . The sad part was, I wasted my time in that office waiting like everyone else but did not get my brownie card . next week.   Whats up guys!! Hope everyone is having a great week this week because I feel like last week just ended. We had a busy week so maybe thats why it felt so fast. We've turned into robots. Finding people has become a rhythm. We just visit all the parks around here because 1 they are beautiful, and 2 it is where people go when they have extra time. As with the title we used the Spanish phrase at the top a lot. Which means, we don't want to take more of your time, which was just for us to stop talking with them to find some more people. The work is hard out here, especially when people love to talk about God and Jesus but never want to accept what we've asked of them. But at least we're spreading the gospel out here!!   Well the sweet and dreadful transfers happened last week... luckily me and my companion are staying another transfer!! My area here has been a real stick in the neck and frustrating, and brown. Not counting how much of a baby mission it is with food cooked for us for two meals and laundry done and folded by someone else... I've been trying to find the good here in where I'm at. Like the food            But trying to teach people who don't want to do anything we ask them to, can really getcha. People's agency is important to God, but sometimes I wish I could just get people to keep their promises... But God has a plan, a plan that is so perfect that even his most rebellious and disruptive child cannot stop the joys we have waiting for us after this life. This week was real boring and we have mostly had lessons with people who we are dropping. It's hard to look at your work and say you're doing a good job when there really isn't anything to show.
