HEY GUYS! It honestly feels a little weird  to be the one to finally be sending these emails but I honestly I’m excited to get started! And sorry to all those people I said I would do an audio to… my MTC they won’t let me.

This week was oh so long… little did I know that sitting behind a screen for 10 hrs a day is killer to the glutes. But it will be but a small moment and I know that, but I’m sure I’ve picked up at least 20 pounds so I’ll be feeling with the consequences a little longer than that.

Anyways this week really has been a week to remember. My español is moving along a whole lot faster than it did while I learned in school. I’ve learned more Spanish the first 30 min than I did in 3 years. To be fair I never actually learned a whole lot in school so it’s not much of a comparison. Our district all has a little background in Spanish and all of us are picking it up really fast. There are two Sisters in my district and 6 Elders and all of us have just clicked really well. My companion is from payson Utah and he is a so chill. Me and him are like the same person only he’s taller than me and blond. I had the ability to meet him yesterday in person and I can’t wait to hit it up in the MTC. 

Thoughts

Being in the mission field has me thinking so much about growth. I know that in two years I’ll be a totally different person. I’ve seen it in so many different people. I love the similarities between us and trees. If you were to examine a seed or even a sapling, there would be nearly no trace of the potential that seedling holds. And what’s amazing is as the seedling continues to grow and reach for unbelievable heights, it gets damaged, scraped, and even broken. Branches fall to the ground, leaves fall and pile near the base, but no matter what, that sapling will develop into a magnificent tree. I see such an amazing correlation between us as children of God and God standing tall over us. Each one of his children is destined for all he has, but with an examination, we are no better than the dirt in the ground in our current state. We need Christ's light and nutrients to help us achieve this great defying task of becoming like Him. I love my dear savior Jesus and I know that he has all the right intentions for my soul because of the joy he has given me throughout my life. I see him in everything such as my amazing friends and family all reading this email right now. Hehe thanks for reading this part, sorry I kinda geeked out about all that but I know that God is out there and he knows us individually so how can I not go out here and preach to all my sapling brothers and sisters. We’re in this together after all! 

Love you guys thanks so much for being apart of this journey. Can’t wait to continue this journey and see we’re the road takes me.

The work is moving along here, now we have a baptism date and she is just the coolest. We're hoping she can move her baptism sooner to this week . This week we have transfers and I swear if we get moved out before we baptize her I will flip out. It has taken so much work to get this place running again...  Well Tuesday started off a little bummy because that was the day that we were supposed to receive our carnets and all the other boys in my group did. BUT I DIDN'T. Let me help you picture what this place is like. It looks just like a dmv, with letters and numbers saying who goes next. Every single number is just randomized and it looks like a mess. I would argue that this place, called migrations, is worse than the DMV . The sad part was, I wasted my time in that office waiting like everyone else but did not get my brownie card . next week.   Whats up guys!! Hope everyone is having a great week this week because I feel like last week just ended. We had a busy week so maybe thats why it felt so fast. We've turned into robots. Finding people has become a rhythm. We just visit all the parks around here because 1 they are beautiful, and 2 it is where people go when they have extra time. As with the title we used the Spanish phrase at the top a lot. Which means, we don't want to take more of your time, which was just for us to stop talking with them to find some more people. The work is hard out here, especially when people love to talk about God and Jesus but never want to accept what we've asked of them. But at least we're spreading the gospel out here!!   Well the sweet and dreadful transfers happened last week... luckily me and my companion are staying another transfer!! My area here has been a real stick in the neck and frustrating, and brown. Not counting how much of a baby mission it is with food cooked for us for two meals and laundry done and folded by someone else... I've been trying to find the good here in where I'm at. Like the food            But trying to teach people who don't want to do anything we ask them to, can really getcha. People's agency is important to God, but sometimes I wish I could just get people to keep their promises... But God has a plan, a plan that is so perfect that even his most rebellious and disruptive child cannot stop the joys we have waiting for us after this life.
